I know what you're all probably thinking and yes I know that 13 doesn't come after 11. I'm not quite that bad at maths! I was obviously in London for Thursday and Friday and so I've not really had any access to a laptop, and as I knew I wouldn't be doing much this weekend I thought I'd combine Thursday with today and then I'll do tomorrow and Friday together. I'm sorry if it's a bit confusing, but it does make sense in my head I promise!

So Adam and I woke up early Thursday morning and got in the car to drive to London, yes you heard me right; we drove into London. Why we decided this would be a good idea I have absolutely no idea, but it was an experience to say the least. We were obviously in London to go to the first ever BBC music awards, so we still had a few hours to kill before we needed to get ready and so had a bit of a mooch around London. I've been obsessed with trying five guys ever since I had heard there was one in Covent Garden, it just needed to happen. So when we saw it wasn't that busy we ran straight in and thank god we did because it was so so worth it! You definitely get what you pay for and I cannot wait to go back. We then went to have a look around Convent Garden and I fell in love with the Christmas tree because who couldn't?! It's bloody beautiful



 After a few hours of shopping we hurried back to our hotel to get ready for the music awards. I'll say now, this was the first ever BBC music awards and if they decided to do it again next year and you can get tickets; then go. It was one of the best experiences of my life so far, the music was amazing, the atmosphere was fabulous and the crowd was just full of really polite nice people apart from a couple of inconsiderate douche-bags. We were stood up and we were actually really close to the front of the stage which was insane, although we are both really short it was quite hard to see but there were big screens so the little people could see which was great. In all honesty though it was just an absolutely amazing experience that I'm so glad I was able to see for the first time.

The highlight for me was Coldplay, Clean Bandit, George Ezra, Catfish and the bottlemen and Will.I.am & Cody Wise. Coldplay started off and were so so stunning, they put the crowd in such a mental and up-beat mood and I genuinely want to see them again. Clean Bandit have been one of my favourite bands this year and so I was super stoked to see them and they were worth the wait, they are such an interesting mix of genre's and they were just as good live as they are in the music videos. George Ezra was just an absolute darling, which I thought he would be and I just love him so much! Catfish and the bottleman won an award (WOO BEST NEWCOMER) and me and Adam were cheering so loud for them because they deserved it 110% and Will.I.am and Codywise were fabulous; I've always been a huge fan of Will.I.am so when he was announced as an act I did a massive fistpump.

Well, I knew we'd reach this sooner or later. I didn't do blogmas yesterday and I am very very sorry, but it was expected after my works christmas party. I know what you're thinking "Ashleigh, why did you not just plan ahead and schedule one" and the answer is because I'm not so smart, thats why.

Anyway, Friday night was my works christmas party and it was absolutely brilliant. I drank too much, danced a lot and laughed a lot and had some great chats with some great people so it was a really awesome night. I have also managed to some how get a lump/bruise on my head which hurts a lot and this is why you should never drink without being safe and thinking about what you're doing, if you are sensible then good for you (not that I can preach to the choir at all). Anyway it was super good and I wish I could go back to it! I spent yesterday however, feeling very sorry for myself and watching LOST for about 7 hours. If you've never watched lost, you are missing out because it is so good and Adam and I are obsessed with it. We watched so much of it yesterday we both had lost related dreams last night.

Today, I've managed to buy a few more christmas presents for Adam and my mum and so soon I'll be done! I'm so happy with how I've done this christmas, I usually don't have enough time or money to get people more than one (pretty pants) gift and so this year I've managed to get some great presents and I can't wait to give certain people their gifts.

I also only have a 3 day week this week, because Adam and I are off to London Thursday and Friday and going to the BBC music award and I am so excited I'm going to vom BECAUSE I GET TO SEE GEORGE EZRA AND CLEAN BANDIT AND I CAN'T COPE. So I will try to keep up the best I can, but please be patient with me xoxox.

I shall end this post with a selfie I took just as I was getting fairly tipsy whilst playing drinking games, which I was losing at fairly badly.
 

 I'm quite fussy with mascaras in that I want something that looks fairly natural, I naturally have very long dark eyelashes so I don't necessarily NEED mascara. I want something that just adds a little extra something the what I already have, so if you look clump, thick and fake then you are not going to be finding yourself in my makeup bag! If I'm honest I'm not actually overly keen on the packaging, I don't really like the colour and the writing on the tube. I think it just looks a bit tacky and I think that it totally misleads the product itself which is fab. I think if collection did a less pre-teen packaging with their items and made it a bit sleeker then they'd be on to a serious winner because their products are A+++++.
 Now when you first look at the brush you probably think "oh, well it's not really anything special?" hold on a sec my friend. I for one like my bristles to be a little bit firmer so that I feel they don't hold all the clumpy bits of the product, but this wand works extremely well at separating all of my lashes whilst coating them evenly leaving a natural but extended finish.

The full name for this product is 'Clean & clear morning energy skin energising daily facial scrub', but I felt that for a title of a blog post that was probably a little too much and so I kept it short and sweet! Unfortunately due to a number of reasons I've not had huge funds to splurge on make-up, skin care and hair care this month and I am super super sad about this. When I was out in town about a week ago I spotted this little gem on sale (I'm 50% sure it was ASDA and it was around about £2-3?) anyway, I was stood staring for a good 15 minutes because I have very little money and there were so many other products I wanted. I felt if I bought this it would hopefully numb the need to spend money, but as it was one of the cheaper options (and I have no self control) I caved and bought it and I've been seriously impressed.

The packaging just looks really nice and bright and I think that is what stood out a lot for me, the fact that it wasn't as subtle as most packaging I would usually tend to go for but it still managed to catch my eye. It also think there seems like a lot of product which is great, I tend to use it every other day at the moment and use a 2p sized dollop and this still does the trick and helps brighten my skin and smooth everything out which is a serious plus for me!

I'm still having a few problematic areas at the moment with my skin and although this hasn't cleared them up, it has done its job and made my skin look a lot brighter which just gives it such a healthy glow. I also find after using it my skin does feel a lot softer. I think for that reason I would seriously consider buying it again.

I really like the idea behind this post as it's about introducing more small bloggers to one another, which is really sweet and I'm up for being friends with all of you because you're all fabulous. So without further rambling my eleven facts are:

1. Liverpool is basically one of my favourite places ever.
2. My favourite food is roast potatoes and gravy, I would eat this as a normal snack if I could. In all honesty I just really like potatoes. Orange juice is also my favourite drink (without pulp if you want to be really nice and buy me some).
3. I'm pretty sure I'm part cat, I make cat noises without meaning to and curl up in a ball which I'm certain isn't normal...
4. My geography is terrible, don't ask me anything about anywhere because I will not have a clue and will embarrass myself very badly.
5. If I could do any job in the world it would be either a teacher, or something like a radio presenter or something with writing. 
6. I use the word fabulous too much in one day.
7. At some point in my life, I need to own a french bulldog as they embody all that is good in the world. LOOK AT HOW FRICKING CUTE THEY ARE, I CANNOT COPE.
   
8. I used to be able to read tarot cards and play the ukulele, I haven't in a few years and I really want to start both up again.
9. I'm a Leo and I believe and love things stuff astrology wise.
10. I love summer, the sun, the heat and being tanned. That is when I am at my happiest.

1. Describe yourself in three words.
   I think I would probably have to go for strange, imaginative and ambitious.
2. What is your favourite past time?
   Probably laying in bed, listening to music and reading blogs!
3. If you could be one age forever, what age would you be and why?
   I don't know why but I feel like by 26 I'll be a bit more grounded and have more of an idea of what I'm doing and where I'm going to I feel that would be a cool age to stick at. Not too old and not too young.
4. Pick a movie character to describe your life.
   One of my closest friends once compared me to Wednesday Adams off of the Adams family, so I feel that is a brilliant one to go with! Or Tina from Bob's burgers (not a movie I know) as we are basically the same person.
5. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
   Definitely either Kat Dennings or Mila Kunis. They are fabulous, sexy and great.
6. Favourite person and why?
   I don't know whether this means people I know or like famous people?! SO MANY CHOICES so I'm gonna do them all. People I know I'd say my favourite person is my mummy, because she's my mummy. Famous person it has to be John Krasinski, Ryan Gosling or Scott Disick.
7. What can you not leave the house without?
   My phone is probably my main one, as it basically just has everything I need on it and also headphones because I love listening to music whenever and wherever I can.
8. What's the one thing to give you a guaranteed pick me up?
   Going out for a coffee somewhere cute or feeding me endless bags of twirl bites.
9. If you could raid anyone's wardrobe who would it be?
   This is so difficult oh my god. It would probably be between Alexa Chung, Kylie Jenner and Vanessa Hudgens. I love all of their individual styles, and couldn't pick one because I just want all of their clothes please? If I HAD to go for one, it would be Vanessa Hudgens as she will literally wear anything that she likes and looks good in it all and I love everything she wears.
10. Finish this sentence: If I could be anywhere right now it would be…
    In a super hot country laying on the beach, shopping and exploring.
11. Most importantly, why did you start writing/creating your blog?
    I wanted to start it because media has always been a huge passion of mine, especially after studying it. I've also always enjoyed writing and rambling, but when I started sixth-form I got much more into beauty and lifetsyle bloggers and vloggers and since then I always wanted to start a blog of my own!

Hi my name's Ashleigh, and I'm an Instagram addict. I'm kidding obviously (or am I...) but I've always thought that its really sweet when you get bloggers who do little monthly updates of their lives through the photos they've taken. I post quite a lot on IG, but I've never felt any of the photo's I've taken are particularly note-worthy. This month however I have taken quite a few and so I thought why not give this post a go and see if I can keep it going, simply because I just think it's a really sweet and fun idea. These aren't in order, so I'm sorry, but I'll explain them in order of date just so it makes a bit more sense!

At the beginning of this month I went with my friend Zach to Essex university to visit our other friend Sean. With both of them being at different universities and myself working full time, we don't get to see each other a lot and so it was so fab to be able to spend the night drinking, dancing and just having fun with them. I definitely miss them both a lot *queue sad music* anyway I'm going to stop before I have them both read this and mock me for being soppy.

Second is the photo of the sunrise, I live in the middle of the countryside and I have to walk to my bus stop pretty early in the morning and this sunrise was so beautiful and had amazing colours so I thought a cheeky snap wouldn't hurt!
The next photo is of the little horse, which is the Chinese zodiac of 2014. The reason I took a photo of it is because I found it's eyes really funny and big, I'm quite clearly more of a child then I let on. This was a night I went out to try a Chinese all you can eat restaurant and the food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

The next photo is of my lovely valentines card. I didn't receive any this year and it's probably one of the first years I've been single for valentines day in a while, which I'm totally okay with but also slightly passive- aggressive towards which I have no shame for. I got this from someone I work with and it made laugh so much because it was done on a post-it note and took about 30 seconds, if that isn't adorable I don't know what is. The day after I went and spent the day in Norwich, which was great because although I've only been a few times I just love the place and think its beautiful and awesome. I also got to try my first wagamama's which I was slightly apprehensive about as me and spicy food are not exactly friends so I was worried I'd have to force myself to eat some spicy food and die inside. However, I got this lovely chicken and noodle dish which I really enjoyed.

The last two photo's are from a night that I spent with my closest friend Frasmine. We haven't seen each other in a few months, but as soon as we're back together it's like nothing has changed and we're exactly the same as we use to be. We spent the night chatting, wearing face masks and watching keeping up with the Kardashian's (we cry all the time because we don't look like Kardashian's) and the last photo is of the extremely funky PJ bottom's I had to buy because in my tired state I forgot to pack some pajamas and Jasmine told me I HAD to buy these bottoms because they made us laugh so much. I'm glad I did because oh my gosh are they comfy!

So that's my month! I know there is still a week left, but I haven't got a whole lot planned in that time and as I've been a bad blogger recently I felt a post was in order. I'm going to try and do this monthly, if I can carry on taking photos at the rate I did this month! Did you enjoy this kind of post? Let me know!

These are only a few of the many words thrown at women (and of course men, but in this case I'm writing about women) by men, but even sadder is the fact that other women are actually referring to one another in this way. Now I will admit, as everyone has in the past I will have been out and seen a women do something that to me is pretty foul but as I have grown in age and also as a person I have learnt this is no way to act towards anyone! Never judge a book by it's cover and all that malarkey.

Now in the media and in society in general, women are portrayed as needing to be pretty little feminine things that should be "seen and not heard" now LUCKILY, this is changing and it's absolutely fab that everyone is allowed to be the person that they want to be. However, I still think that deep down a large number of people still think women should be women and men should be men. Now don't get me wrong; I wear make up and do my hair and dress in skirts and pretty things, but I also like to wear shirts and jeans and go out looking like poo without being judged and talking openly about sex like men do without being considered disgusting.

I think sex especially is a huge taboo subject still and I know a lot of people feel uncomfortable talking about it, and some of you will probably feel uncomfortable reading this. I understand to a lot of people it is very private and obviously I keep my love life and sex life to myself, but I have been brought up by my parents to be open and honest and this is something I will encourage my children to do if I have them. I know a lot of people have always been confused by how openly I will speak about this area, with friends and family. Of course I have lines and boundaries of what I say and what I don't, but if men can joke about sex with their friends then why can't women? 

What disgusts me the most is that, women should stick up for one another. If a girl likes to have sex and considers her own safety and the safety of others, then in all honesty what is she actually doing wrong? N-O-T-H-I-N-G. If a girl wants to save herself for marriage and is still a virgin at 23 WHO CARES, these are not the qualities we should judge people on. You should never judge someone because of how they dress or how they act as it is their body and their choice and as human beings we should respect this. 

I can handle when a man insults me, yeah it sucks but who cares really? However, when another female decides to tell me or others around me that I am a slag or whore and that I have 'no morals' that is when I start to get peeved. What gives you the right, to go around and judge me because I am not the same as you? Being confident around men and being confident within myself as a person and my sexuality does now mean that I am a slag or a lesbian or anything else. That is another thing that annoys me, if you tell a female she is attractive the automatic thing is "oh she is obviously a lesbian" NO YOU ARE JUST ATTRACTIVE NEXT TIME I WON'T BOTHER TRYING TO LIFT YOUR SPIRITS YOU UNGRATEFUL GREMLIN. 

As a teenager; I hated myself. I seriously hated myself, I'd look at myself and just sob because I was so disgusting to myself. I looked like shit, and thus constantly belittled myself and told myself I was ugly. Now I am an adult and have learnt more about myself, I have learnt that actually I am not ugly. I am beautiful on the inside, I don't judge people for who they are, if you need my help and I don't even know you I will be up until 4 in the morning trying to help you, I will make myself look like the biggest moron EVER just to see you crack a smile. So yes; I am no Mila Kunis, but I am beautiful in that I can now look at myself and think "yeah I'm alright" and because I am now comfortable with myself people think this makes me some sort of dirty prostitute? No, it doesn't work like that. 

If you are a man who voices your opinions on how women should dress and act, SHUT UP. You are not a women, nor will you ever experience being a women. I don't care if you don't like my leggins and if you think that all girl's should be 'natural' then ask why a girl stops making an effort if she doesn't do anything with her appearance. If you are a female who voices your opinions on women, KEEP THEM TO YOURSELVES. You wouldn't like if a female came up to you and said "you're speaking confidently to a group of men, you're such a tramp" nonononoNO it doesn't work like that. Also if you EVER use anything a women wears, says or does to justify rape or sexual/domestic abuse; You need to reevaluate your life and stop acting like you are perfect, because trust me sweetheart. You aren't.
I'm sorry that this has been such a rant post, but it is one subject I feel strongly about. I am sick and tired of women feeling that no matter what they do is wrong; if you're shy and hide your body then you're frigid and don't try hard enough and 'no man will want you' and if you actually think 'I am a beautiful queen bee' and feel good about yourself then you are a disgrace. So ladies (and gents) stop making each other feel like shit please.
