Here are some of my favourite songs from the month of February, I personally feel like there are some new amazing artists and songs coming out this year and that makes me so excited. February has been very similar to January in that it has all been up in the air and manic but things are slowly staring to calm down and I'll hopefully be able to blog a lot more in the coming weeks!
If you have read my blog for a while, then you might remember
last year, when the lovely people over at farfectch.com contacted me with an
infographic they had compiled on blogger information, you can still see that post here. I still love looking at the
infographic as it’s all so helpful and interesting (and the design makes me
swoon). So when they contacted me about a competition they are running and
asked if I’d like to enter, I thought why not share it with you all as well?
If you win though, I expect some sort of gift in return. I’m kidding obviously
(definitely not kidding).
Farfetch are offering a competition that if you are the
lucky winner, means that you’ll get a £2,500 shopping spree on their website
and the best part of this is that the four friends you get to sign up will also
win as well! So you and your friends will get to shop to your heart’s content,
so everyone’s a winner. If you don’t win though, by signing up you’ll still
get 10% off of your next order which is still a really nice offer. To enter it really is super simple;
all you have to do is introduce four of your friends to Farfetch and get them to sign up at this link http://www.farfetch.com/refer-a-friend.
So even if you aren't overly interested it’s still a great little competition
to sign up to just for just for the fun of it.
Once you’re all signed up, you’ll receive your 10% off your
next order, as will the friends that sign up and you and your friends will be automatically entered into the
£2,500 prize giveaway! So it really is just as easy as entering your details
and hoping for the best. The competition will start first thing tomorrow morning and finishes 9 am GMT
on February 18th, so you better act fast! I already know exactly what I’d get if I won,
what would you treat yourself to?

I was an extremely lucky girl for Christmas, I got a lot of thoughtful and beautiful gifts and I am so greatful. One gift that I was SUPER excited about was something I had hinted at Adam to get me since it had been released and the man did good, because as soon as I saw a little rectangular present laying there I knew I had finally gotten my hands on the urban decay basics 2 palette. I still feel a little emotional about it now.
LOOK AT HOW BLOODY BEAUTIFUL IT IS. I genuinely felt a bit choked up looking at it because it is just such a wonderful little palette. If you aren't into your neutral shades then you'll probably look at this like its just another palette (like Adam did) but to me, it is like angels have crafted it themselves. Each shade is super pigmented and very wearable, I find that I can create both daytime and evening looks with this palette. I was concerned it wouldn't be very show stopping for evening looks, but this little beauty proved me wrong. I used skimp, cover, primal and undone and created such a good smokey eye; I was very proud of myself.
I have to say that my favourite shades out of all the five are stark, frisk and primal as I use them basically everyday now. On their own or with some black winged liner and it just works and looks effortless.
It's the perfect travel size compared to my naked 3 palette and because of that it is becoming a very firm favourite of mine. For £22 I will definitely be purchasing this for myself again as I cannot be in a world without this palette.
Have you tried the urban decay basic palettes?

For the past few months I haven't been wearing foundation, I've just been focusing on wearing concealer and not much else. My skins been a bit problematic recently though and so I decided that I wanted to try a foundation that wasn't too heavy and still gave my skin room to breathe.
I've heard a lot about bourjois foundations and when I spotted this one in boots I decided that it would be worth testing it out! It retails at roughly £10 in most shops and from what I remember this one might have been on sale when I bought it.

The sticker that tells you the colour has come off of mine, and I don't remember what shade it was (I don't remember a lot do I) but I'm pretty certain it was Hale Clair and I've found that this colour is a perfect match for my face. I also use my real techniques buffing brush to blend this into my face and it works an absolute treat, I also find that if I'm having a particularly bad skin day it can be build-able for a heavy coverage. I've never been one for thick creamy foundations as I like to feel like my skin can breathe and isn't caked in makeup, this isn't helped by the fact I get quite an oily T-zone later in the day and so I don't want something that's going to look greasy on my face!
I've definitely found since using this product that my skin has a much healthier glow and just makes me look that bit more awake during the day, I've also found that a little goes a long way with this particular product so I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of this foundation and I can't wait to try more bourjois foundations, although I can tell this one is going to stay a firm favourite in my make up bag. I think you get what you pay for with this product and I think it will be the perfect foundation for summer time!
What's your favourite foundation?
I decided that after my last positive experience with urban decay (naked 3 is my my babe), I’d give one of their other products ago. That’s when I spotted the naked flushed palette. The palette comes in 3 different shades that are suitable for different skin tones, I personally didn't have a clue of what shade to go for. My boyfriend eventually convinced me to ask one of the counter ladies for help, and I’m glad I did because she was so so helpful! She looked at my face and told me that because I have warm toned skin with yellow undertones I’d be better suited to the 'streak' shade and she was definitely right.
The naked flushed palette contains a bronze, a highlight and a blush all of which are absolutely beautiful and perfect for my skin tone. You can get away with using them all separately or mixing them together and using them as one. I personally do both, some days I use the bronze and the highlight, the blush and the highlight, the blush and the bronzer or all 3 together; you can get away with a number of different options with this palette. I think urban decay have been really clever with this release as contouring has obviously been around for a long time, but it’s now starting to become really big with not just celebrities but with anyone brave enough to attempt it.
Personally, I’m a bit pants at it but I still attempt a slight contour without going too over the top and I really think that urban decay helps this work. I absolutely love the packaging. I find that the products do last me the day, although it does wear off by around about lunch time but that’s probably my own fault in not using a primer so I can’t really complain about that.

I’d really recommend this product to make up lovers who want an everyday contour that’s not too dramatic, it’s especially good if you’re like me and struggle a bit to achieve the proper makeup artist contour. The colours are beautiful, the packaging is beautiful and I just really love it. Once again urban decay have created a product that its really high quality, it’s a higher budget product but it is definitely worth it!
Have you used Naked flushed? Or is there a different urban decay product that you love?
I know that we've been in 2015 for basically 3 weeks now, but I thought it would be a nice little post to round up my most popular blog posts of 2014! So I'm not going to ramble on about it for much longer, here were my most popular posts. Just as a quick disclaimer I'm not trying to show off or anything like that so please don't think I am, I just find it interesting to see what posts people like!
5th- what I wore: wedding
I'm surprised that this post did as well as it did, purely because my fashion sense isn't particularly trend setting, I'm all about the comfort. However, you all seemed to enjoy it so maybe I should attempt to do more fashion based posts?

4th- change your thoughts and you change the world
This is probably one of my favourite posts that I've done on my blog and I'm still pretty proud of it, I share 2 really amazing and important you tube videos that I felt everyone needed to see. You all seemed to really enjoy this post as much as I did as well, I want to try and share more pictures, videos and quotes that I love as I think it's nice to share things like this with everyone because as the title says; change your thoughts and you change the world. I think if everyone tries to make a difference then eventually we can all do some real good.

3rd all things hair
In terms of posts this was a really fun post to write and show you all some old (and bloody awful) photos and all of the different hair colours and some styles that I've had. I always find that if there is one piece of advice people tend to ask me for it is my hair. I used to have very badly damaged hair for a long time, and a hairdresser even told me I needed to cut it all off to get rid of it all. Due to this I wanted to prove her wrong and taught myself to cut my own hair, never dyed it and used a lot of deep conditioner and eggs (don't ask..) and I got my hair to an AMAZING condition. So I love posts about hair!

2nd skincare routine
I can say in all honesty that I didn't expect this post of all my posts to be second, I never thought that I had the best skincare routine. I just thought it was very simple and not very good, but you all seemed to think it was okay! So thanks for thinking my skincare was good, I plan on doing an updated version of it sometime soon.

1st oh my god, she's such a slut
So, my number one post of 2014 was the one that I got most feedback from (not all positive) but I still stick to my word in this one and I love that so many people agreed with me and told me how much they enjoyed reading it. The huge positive reaction I had meant the absolute world to me!

So that’s my blog summed up in 2014; there’s been everything
from hair care to feminism, food posts to wish lists. What has been your most
popular post of 2014?
