They're Real Review

When I was roughly 17 I received a free sample of the they’re real mascara in a company magazine (how sad is it that I remember that), and I remember absolutely loving the stuff. It was amazing and added so much length to my lashes and so I was desperate to try it again and see if I still loved it just as much. I also found that it lasted for such a long time on my lashes and in the tube because it didn't dry out that quickly.

This time round I actually got the full sized one, and it’s still brilliant in that it lasts all day on my lashes and is especially good for nights out as it’s so build-able. In the day I wear 1 coat, on a night out I wear about 4. It is also lasting relatively well in the case of going on nights out, I have found sometimes when I go out and get hot or move a lot mascara can flake a bit. I've not noticed this issue so far. However, I've found that this time round it’s actually a bit clumpier on my lashes than I remember. I’m all about length but not so much about thickness, I find most mascara’s that are supposed to be thick go really clumpy on my lashes and I have naturally long and thick lashes so this isn't really the desired affect I’m after.

Maybe I’m applying it wrong or different to how I used to, but it just seems that my lashes will get stuck together and just look a bit pants.
I have found a way to get round this, I alternate between the benefit mascara and rimmel London glam eyes day 2 night 2 in 1 Length wand and find this gives me my idea of the perfect lashes. However, if I wipe the excess of the end of the benefit wand this can usually stop the clumping.
So this purchase I’m still fairly happy with.

I think for the price it's possibly not as good as some drugstore mascara alternatives, I still think think it's good though don't get me wrong. I'd possibly look at alternatives next time I'm in need of mascara though, who knows though. I do sometimes find when a mascara dries up slightly it's easier to work with so I still have some hope for it!

Have you used any Benefit make-up? What are your thoughts?
